Cartons of Cigarettes Stolen Off of Truck in Salem

The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police Department's log:
 

Monday, April 21

  • At 5:11 p.m., police responded to a dispute on Rainbow Terrace.
  • At 5:51 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on New Derby Street.
  • At 5:54 p.m., police responded to a report of a stolen dirt bike on Marlborough Road.
  • At 5:56 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Savoy Road.
  • At 6:55 p.m., police responded to a report of a group fighting on Rainbow Terrace.
  • At 7:30 p.m., police responded to a report of an undesirable person inside the Wendy's on Lafayette Street. Disree D. Lucius, 30, of the streets of Salem, was arrested on charges of attempting to set fires and burning a public building.
  • At 10:03 p.m., police responded to a report of a stolen cell phone on Leggs Hill Road.
  • At 10:31 p.m., police responded to a loud house party on Geneva Street.
  • At 11:12 p.m., police assisted a woman with finding her dog near the intersection of Chestnut and Hamilton streets.

Tuesday, April 22

  • At 12:07 a.m., police responded to a report of a large group of kids in the park near Fort Avenue.
  • At 1:02 a.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Geneva Street.
  • At 5:19 a.m., vehicles were towed for street sweeping on Lafayette Street.
  • At 8:31 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Federal Street.
  • At 10:47 a.m., a delivery driver for Pine State Trading Co. called police to report that 43 cartons of cigarettes were stolen off of the back of his truck while he was making a delivery to the Red Lion Smoke Shop on Washington Street. The value of the cigarettes was reportedly $3,876.20.
  • At 1:07 p.m., police responded to a report of kids acting up on Marlborough Road.
  • At 1:27 p.m., police responded to a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident on First Street.
  • At 2:51 p.m., police made an arrest on Congress Street. Amy A. Jackson, 29, of 2 Pierce Ave., Salem, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
  • At 3:01 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Derby Street.
  • At 3:28 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on a man stuck on a roof on School Street.
  • At 3:29 p.m., police responded to a traffic light issue near the intersection of North and Federal streets.
Other Arrests

Gregory D. Levesque, 25, of 2 Scenic Place, Salem, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.

Cynthia D. Noel, 49, of 5 Geneva St., Salem, was arrested on charges of assault and battery and two counts of domestic assault and battery.
