Police Make Two More Prostitution Arrests in Salem

The following information was submitted by the Salem Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.


The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police Department's log: 

Monday, Sept. 9

  • At 4:03 p.m., police responded to a report of fresh vandalism on Green Street.
  • At 5:14 p.m., a woman entered the police station to report a past road rage incident near the intersection of Canal Street and Loring Avenue.
  • At 6:06 p.m., a West Circle resident called police to report a past vehicle break-in.
  • At 8:01 p.m., police conducted a prostitution investigation on Bridge Street. Caitlyn Condon, 20, of 26 West Dane St., Beverly, was arrested on a charge of prostitution. Jennifer Francis, 19, of 5 Innis Drive, Danvers, was arrested on a charge of prostitution.
  • At 10:27 p.m., police responded to a shoplifting incident at the Walmart on Highland Avenue.
Tuesday, Sept. 10

  • At 12:15 a.m., police responded to a disturbance on High Street.
  • At 12:50 a.m., police responded to a past vehicle break-in on Lafayette Street.
  • At 3:46 a.m., police responded to a report of someone sounding an air-horn on Lafayette Street.
  • At 8:58 a.m., police made an arrest on Highland Avenue. Sean N. Collado, 22, of 49 Essex St., Salem, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant. 
  • At 11:48 a.m., police responded to a report of a man exposing himself near the intersection of Grove and Irving streets. Police were unable to locate the man.
  • At 4:09 p.m., a Lafayette Street resident called police to report a past vehicle break-in. 
  • At 5:58 p.m., police responded to a past road rage incident near the intersection of Bridge and Winter streets.
  • At 7:05 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity near the intersection of High and Pratt streets. 
Other Arrests:

Edgar L. Esteban, 38, of 40 Clinton St., Lynn, was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, subsequent offense.

Juan A. Pimentel, 31, of 1000 Loring Ave., Salem, was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
