Salem Police Arrest Homeless Woman on Assault to Murder Charge

The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police Department's log: 

Thursday, May 22

  • At 3:54 p.m., police responded to a medical emergency involving an alleged stab victim on Endicott Street. Bryna C. Rudolph, 33, of the streets of Salem, was arrested on charges of aggravated assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon (knife), violating an abuse prevention order, assault with intent to murder and threatening to commit a crime (murder).
  • At 5:25 p.m., an officer disposed of a hypodermic needle discovered on Washington Street.
  • At 5:37 p.m., police responded to a dispute on Highland Avenue.
  • At 5:43 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Boston Street.
  • At 5:46 p.m., police responded to a past assault on North Street.
  • At 6:51 p.m., police stopped a motor vehicle on Dodge Street. Travis J. Knorr, 21, of 14 Abbott St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Miguel A. Hernandez, 28, of the streets of Salem, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
  • At 7:58 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Charter Street.
  • At 7:59 p.m., a man called police to report that two men had just tried to steal his son's bike and fled the scene when confronted.
  • At 8:18 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Daniel Street.
  • At 8:56 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Margin Street. 
  • At 9:17 p.m., police made an arrest on Palmer Street. Kia A. Forde, 32, of 35 Salem St., Salem, was arrested for reportedly having three outstanding warrants.
  • At 9:47 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Federal Street.

Friday, May 23

  • At 1:54 a.m., police conducted a well-being check on Loring Avenue.
  • At 2:07 a.m., police responded to a water main break at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Willson Street. The DPW was notified.
  • At 2:42 a.m., police responded to a report of a person ringing doorbells on Holly Street.
  • At 6:03 a.m., police responded to a report of an erratic operator on Barstow Street.
  • At 6:28 a.m., police responded to a past vehicle break-in on Butler Street.
  • At 6:50 a.m., police responded to a past vehicle break-in on Butler Street.
  • At 8:05 a.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Highland Avenue.
  • At 10:31 a.m., police conducted a well-being check on Congress Street.
  • At 1:18 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian on Valiant Way.
  • At 1:52 p.m., a resident entered the police station to report a past sexual assault.
  • At 3:48 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Moffatt Road.
Arrests

Tina M. Amore, 42, of 5 Bresnahan Ct., Beverly, was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery.
