Harbor Street Man Facing Attempted Murder charge

The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police Department's log: 


Saturday, Feb. 8

  • At 4:08 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Bridge Street. Murray Wilnesky, 86, 87 Bridge St., SAlem, was arrested on charges of armed assault with intent to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (scissors) and assault with a dangerous weapon.
  • At 4:11 p.m., police responded to a past shoplifting incident at the Market Basket on Highland Avenue. Two people were issued no trespass orders.
  • At 4:24 p.m., police responded to a dispute at the 99 Restaurant on Bridge Street.
  • At 4:35 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Highland Avenue.
  • At 5:34 p.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Lee Fort Terrace.
  • At 7:37 p.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Roslyn Street.
  • At 9:07 p.m., police responded to a minor motor vehicle accident on Lafayette Street. Danielle Wuschke, 38, of 28 Forrester St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, second offense.
  • At 10:28 p.m., police responded to a disturbance on Lafayette Street.
  • At 10:43 p.m., police responded to a dispute between neighbors on Jefferson Avenue.
  • At 10:46 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Dearborn Street.
  • At 11:10 p.m., police were called to assist the Swampscott Police Department with a vehicle that was refusing to stop on Loring Avenue. Kelvin A. Grullon, 27, of 1000 Loring Ave., Salem, was arrested on a charge of failure to stop for police.
  • At 11:31 p.m., police responded to a loud party on Lawrence Street.

Sunday, Feb. 9

  • At 1:01 a.m., police responded to a reported fight on Derby Street. A man was placed into protective custody.
  • At 1:15 a.m., police responded to a report of a suspicious man at the 7-Eleven on Norman Street. A man was placed into protective custody.
  • At 1:17 a.m., police responded to a reported assault and battery on Margin Street.
  • At 1:33 a.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Hathorne Street.
  • At 3:43 a.m., police responded to a loud party on Carlton Street.
  • At 5:41 a.m., police responded to a loud house party on Lafayette Street.
  • At 11:28 a.m., police responded to a report of a panhandler outside of the Staples on Paradise Road.
  • At 11:48 a.m., police responded to a past dispute on Jefferson Avenue. Brandon J. Geary, 22, of 331 Jefferson Ave., Salem, was arrested on a charge of disturbing the peace.
  • At 12:57 p.m., police responded to a past domestic assault on Harbor Street. Manual D. Ramirez, 43, of 59 Harbor St., Salem, was arrested on charges of attempted murder and domestic assault and battery.
  • At 2:48 p.m., police responded to a past larceny on Lafayette Street.
  • At 3:39 p.m., police responded to a report of "turkeys in the travel lane" on Highland Avenue.
