Woman Reportedly Kicks Down Door, Attacks Resident on Heritage Drive

Sunday, May 25

  • At 5:49 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian on Highland Avenue.
  • At 7:23 p.m., police responded to a loud party on Tremont Street.
  • At 7:54 p.m., police responded to a report of two men looking into motor vehicles on Federal Street.
  • At 7:56 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Geneva Street.
  • At 8:44 p.m., police responded to a report of a possibly drunk man on Derby Street. The man was placed into protective custody.
  • At 9:41 p.m., police responded to a fireworks complaint on Mansell's Parkway.
  • At 9:55 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Balcomb Street. Sean M. Canty, 32, of 7 Balcomb St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery.
  • At 10:12 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Burnside Street. 
  • At 10:29 p.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Jefferson Avenue.
  • At 10:52 p.m., police responded to a past vehicle break-in on Buena Vista Avenue West.
  • At 11:06 p.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Ward Street.

Monday, May 26

  • At 12:08 a.m., police responded to a loud house party on Northend Avenue.
  • At 12:09 a.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Derby Street.
  • At 12:19 a.m., police responded to a past larceny on Derby Street.
  • At 12:53 a.m., police responded to a report of a suspicious motor vehicle on Washington Street.
  • At 1:25 a.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Mason Street.
  • At 1:28 a.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Ward Street.
  • At 2:22 a.m., a Heritage Drive resident called police to report that a woman was just assaulted by an intruder who kicked in their front door. The suspect was described as being a black female, approximately 5' 8" with a thick build, wearing a gray sweatshirt and gray sweatpants. The alleged victim was evaluated on scene by an ambulance for a non-life-threatening injury.
  • At 2:51 a.m., police responded to a large fight in the street on Harbor Street. One person was transported to the hospital.
  • At 3:08 a.m., police conducted a well-being check on Bridge Street.
  • At 11:16 a.m., police were alerted to a phone scamming attempt on Cousins Street.
  • At 1:20 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Peabody Street.
  • At 1:56 p.m., police responded to a panhandling complaint on Essex Street.
  • At 2:54 p.m., police responded to a report of an erratic operator near the intersection of Lafayette Street and Loring Avenue.
  • At 3:47 p.m., police responded to a medical overdose on Harbor Street.
