Salem 7-Eleven Clerk Accused of Stealing Cash, Scratch Tickets

The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police Department's log: 


Thursday, April 3:

  • At  2:52 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Lawrence Street.
  • At 6:11 p.m., police responded to a report of a man causing a disturbance near the intersection of Highland Avenue and Freeman Road. A man was placed into protective custody.
  • At 6:16 p.m., police made an arrest on Bryant Street. Michael F. Casey, 44, of 17 Bryan St., Salem, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
  • At 6:22 p.m., police responded to a past assault on Traders Way.
  • At 6:37 p.m., police responded to a past assault on Tremont Street.
  • At 6:58 p.m., police responded to a report of an unattended backpack on Essex Street.
  • At 7:24 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Hancock Street.
  • At 11:19 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian on Lafayette Street.
  • At 11:31 p.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Collins Street. 

Friday, April 4

  • At 2:13 a.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity at the intersection of Charter and Liberty streets.
  • At 7:07 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident near the intersection of North and Franklin streets.
  • At 9:29 a.m., police responded to a report of a rock in the road on Swampscott Road.
  • At 11:11 a.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Collins Street.
  • At 11:43 a.m., police responded to a past larceny on Norman Street. The manager of the 7Eleven called police to report that he has video surveillance of an employee stealing money and scratch tickets from the store.
  • At 1:48 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Broad Street.
  • At 2:08 p.m., police responded to a dog complaint on Howard Street.

Other Arrests

John R. Labonte, 49, of the streets of Beverly, was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license, subsequent offense, providing a false name to police and for reportedly having three outstanding warrants.

Desiree D. Lucius, 30, of the streets of Salem, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
