Salem Teen Arrested on Attempted Murder, Armed Robbery Charges

Sunday, Jan. 5


  • At 5:56 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Lafayette Street.
  • At 9:35 p.m., police made an arrest on Summer Street. Jason M. Meagher, 32, of 14 Summer St., Salem, was arrested for reportedly having two outstanding warrants.

Monday, Jan. 6


  • At 1:41 a.m., police responded to a shoplifting incident at the 7-Eleven on North Street. Joseph T. Fiandaca, 23, of the streets of Salem, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
  • At 5:12 a.m., police responded to a report of wires down near the intersection of Hazel Street and Ocean Avenue.
  • At 7:03 a.m., police responded to a report of a past break-in at the Salem Community Child Care on Congress Street.
  • At 9:18 a.m., police responded to a domestic dispute involving a knife on Boston Street. Jose A. Collado, 28, of 85 Pleasant St., Providence, R.I., was arrested on charges of malicious destruction of property valued above $250, two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, violating the city's knife ordinance and for reportedly having an outstanding warrant. Monique Reed-Guillemette, 21, of 38 Boston St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon, intimidating a witness and violating the city's knife ordinance.
  • At 10:35 a.m., police responded to a report of a neighbor making threats on Heritage Drive.
  • At 10:52 a.m., police responded to a past theft on Winter Island Road.
  • At 11:28 a.m., police conducted a well-being check on Endicott Street.
  • At 11:48 a.m., police conducted a well-being check on Andmirals Lane.
  • At 12:13 p.m., police responded to a reported armed assault on Roslyn Street. A victim was reportedly stabbed three times and had non-life threatening injuries. A knife was recovered at the scene. Alexander D. Shachook, 19, of 5 Heritage Drive, Salem, was arrested on charges of attempted murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (knife), disturbing the peace, two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon (knife), armed robbery and violating the city's knife ordinance. Allen N. Mackey, 18, of 5 Heritage Drive, Salem, was arrested on a charge of disturbing the peace.
  • At 1:41 p.m., police made an arrest on Rainbow Terrace. Cynthia M. Keith, 24, of 3 Rainbow Terrace, Salem, was arrested on a charge of violating an abuse prevention order and for reportedly having three outstanding warrants.
  • At 2:01 p.m., police responded to a report of a stolen package on Canal Street. 
  • At 2:07 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Lafayette Street.
  • At 2:41 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Bertram Terrace.
  • At 3:55 p.m., police responded to a shoplifting incident on Highland Avenue. Panos N. Bazos, 51, of 56 Margin St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of shoplifting merchandise valued above $100.
  • At 4:16 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Dow Street.
  • At 6:50 p.m., police responded to a dispute between landlord and tenant.
