Resident Reports Vehicle Left on Cinder Blocks

The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police Department's log:
 

Thursday, March 13

  • At 4:10 p.m., police responded to a shoplifting incident at the Market Basket on Highland Avenue. Anita Gilderubio, 30, of 50 Palmer St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of shoplifting merchandise by concealment.
  • At 4:23 p.m., police responded to a report of identity theft on Park Street. 
  • At 5:41 p.m., police responded to an assault on Federal Street.
  • At 7:36 p.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Rainbow Terrace.
  • At 8:43 p.m., police responded to a water main break on Forest Avenue.
  • At 9:10 p.m., police responded to a disturbance near the intersection of Lafayette and Harbor streets.

Friday, March 14

  • At 12:45 a.m., an officer was flagged down by an officer for a ride to her residence at the YMCA. She was given a ride due to the extreme cold weather.
  • At 2:04 a.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on First Street.
  • At 3:12 a.m., police responded to a possible transformer explosion on Winter Street.
  • At 3:43 a.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Boston Street.
  • At 4:11 a.m., police responded to the intersection of Palmer and Pingree streets after receiving word that a vehicle had three wheels stolen off of it and it was now sitting in cinder blocks.
  • At 4:28 a.m., police made an arrest near the intersection of Lafayette and Peabody streets. John R. Page, 31, of 191 Pleasant St., Marblehead, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
  • At 7:33 a.m., police responded to a past larceny on Andrew Street.
  • At 9:10 a.m., police responded to a dispute on Loring Avenue.
  • At 11:44 a.m., police conducted a well-being check on Jefferson Avenue.
  • At 11:56 a.m., police responded to a minor motor vehicle accident on North Street.
  • At 12:24 p.m., police responded to an animal complaint on Witch Way.
  • At 12:39 p.m., police arrested a juvenile on Federal Street.
  • At 1:02 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Leach Street.
  • At 1:24 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Pope Street.
  • At 2:30 p.m., police and fire units responded to an alarm on Ward Street.
Other Arrests

Joyce M. Parshley, 50, of 50 Memorial Drive, Salem, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
