Salem Police Respond to Report of 'Ponies in the Road'

The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police Department's log:
 

Wednesday, March 12

  • At 12:01 a.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Cross Street.
  • At 12:53 a.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Pope Street.
  • At 1:05 a.m., police conducted a well-being check on Rainbow Terrace.
  • At 1:09 a.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on North Street.
  • At 1:12 a.m., police responded to a reported gas leak at Captain's Restaurant on Wharf Street. Salem firefighters turned off a gas fireplace without issue.
  • At 1:20 a.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Charter Street.
  • At 5:21 a.m., police responded to a dispute on Charter Street.
  • At 6:11 a.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Lafayette Street.
  • At 8:20 a.m., police conducted a well-being check on Clark Avenue.
  • At 8:23 a.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Intervale Road.
  • At 9:18 a.m., police responded to a dispute between landlord and tenant on Endicott Street.
  • At 9:24 a.m., police conducted a well-being check on North Street.
  • At 10:45 a.m., police responded to a report of fresh vandalism on Wharf Street.
  • At 11:16 a.m., police responded to a report of vandalism to a mailbox on Congress Street.
  • At 11:46 a.m., police responded to a report of drug activity on Congress Street.
  • At 12:27 p.m., police responded to a report of past threats on North Street.
  • At 2:18 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Boston Street.
  • At 2:34 p.m., police responded to a report of ponies in the road on Swampscott Road. The horses were eventually returned to their stable at A&H Auto on Robinson Road.
  • At 2:47 p.m., police responded to a report of harassment on Washington Street.
  • At 3:22 p.m., police made an arrest on Canal Street. Kia Aisha Forde, 32, of 35 Salem St., Salem, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
  • At 3:32 p.m., police responded to a report of an unwanted guest on First Street.

Other Arrest

Shane M. Davis Jr., 20, of 13 High St., Salem, was arrested for reportedly having two outstanding warrants.
