Salem Police Make Arrest on Federal Street

The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police Department's log: 

Sunday, Feb. 23:

  • At 5:10 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Boston Street.
  • At 5:32 p.m., police responded to a dispute between neighbors on Osgood Street.
  • At 5:35 p.m., police stopped a motor vehicle on Highland Avenue. A person was placed under arrest for having an outstanding warrant.
  • At 6:08 p.m., police responded to a dispute between neighbors on Laurel Street.
  • At 10:23 p.m., police disposed of a hypodermic needle discovered in a gutter on Essex Street.
  • At 10:28 p.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Rawlins Street.

Monday, Feb. 24

  • At 1:12 a.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Essex Street.
  • At 3:03 a.m., police responded to a report of a man trying car doors near the intersection of Lafayette Place and Green Street.
  • At 6:55 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident near the intersection of Marlborough Road and Scenic Avenue.
  • At 8:30 a.m., police responded to a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident near the intersection of Paradise road and Vinnin Street.
  • At 9:34 a.m., police made an arrest on Federal Street. Den Chhay, 33, of 51 Thornton St, Revere, was arrested for reportedly having three outstanding warrants.
  • At 9:58 a.m., police responded to a medical overdose on Palmer Street.
  • At 11:18 a.m., police made an arrest on Federal Street. Malissa S. Machado, 33, of 80 Silsbee St., Lynn, was arrested on a charge of intimidating a witness.
  • At 11:34 a.m., police conducted a well-being check on First Street.
  • At 12:22 p.m., police responded to a shoplifting incident at TJMaxx on Traders Way. Lisa A. Fleming, 48, of 33 Cabot St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of larceny over $250.
  • At 2:58 p.m., police responded to a report of stolen tires on Lowell Street.
  • At 3:27 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Farrell Court.
  • At 4:08 p.m., police responded to a report of illegal dumping on Jefferson Avenue.
Other Arrests

Christina L. Keane, 26, of 9 Mill St., Beverly, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.

Richard Felix, 20, of 118 Walworth St., Roslindale, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
