Alleged OUI Crash on Willson Street

The following information was submitted by the Salem Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police Department's log:

Monday, Dec. 3:

  • At 4:28 p.m., a woman called police to report that her Honda CRV had been stolen from West Avenue sometime overnight. The vehicle was later located in Lawrence with interior damage, ignition damage and right side damage.
  • At 4:48 p.m., a man was located sleeping in a doorway on Peabody Street. He was placed into protective custody.
  • At 5:10 p.m., police stopped a man for trespassing on Lafayette Street. Jeffrey Alexander, 59, of 116 Lafayette St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of trespassing.
  • At 5:34 p.m., police responded to a report of a break-in on Boston Street. Jodie Marfongelli, 23, of 1 Devereux Ave., Salem, was arrested on charges of breaking an entering a vehicle during the nighttime for a felony, three counts of malicious destruction of property valued above $250, larceny over property valued above $250, domestic assault and battery and threatening to commit a crime.
  • At 5:38 p.m., police responded to a break-in on Essex Street. A woman told police her son damaged a door when she told him it was time to move out.
  • At 6:17 p.m., police stopped a man at the intersection of Lafayette and Harbor streets. 
  • At 7:07 p.m., a woman called police to report a disturbance on Highland Avenue and a woman was arrested for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on hospital staff. Denise Bonilla, 40 of 95 Pleasant St., Lynn, was arrested on three counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and for having two outstanding warrants.
  • At 8:00 p.m., police responded to a report of a man shot at with a BB gun on Orne Street.
  • At 8:37 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Willson Street involving a Chevy van and a Subaru Legacy. Raymond J. Comeau, 50, of 75 Robinson Road, Salem, was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, second offense.

Tuesday, Dec. 4:

  • At 6:13 a.m., police assisted federal agents with an arrest on Loring Avenue.
  • At 11:42 a.m., a Dow Street woman called police to report that two rings had been stolen from her home.
  • At 12:43 p.m., police located a man on Prince Street. Jonathan M. Bik, 30, of 48 Prince St., Salem, was arrested for having two outstanding warrants.
  • At 12:54 p.m., a hypodermic needle was discovered on Proctor Street.
  • At 2:21 p.m., a man was located on Jefferson Avenue. Jeremy D. Osgood, 33, of the streets of Salem, was arrested for having an outstanding warrant.
