Salem Man Arrested Twice in Two Days

Drugs were allegedly found on Sean Irish during both arrests in Salem, N.H.

A Salem, Mass., man faces a number of charges, including two for drugs, after Salem, N.H., police arrested him on two different occasions over the weekend.

Sean Irish, 35, of Salem, was picked up by police first at the Mall at Rockingham Park Friday and later at LaQuinta Hotel Saturday.

On Friday, police responded to the mall at about 8:19 p.m. for a report of a disoriented subject walking around a parking lot looking into vehicles.

Police said they found the male, Irish, and while speaking to him called Salem Fire "due to his condition."

A small amount of prescription drugs were found on Irish and "evidence that he had possibly taken more than 80 pills in a short period of time," according to police.

After being advised he was under arrest, Irish "engaged the officers in a brief struggle" and was later taken into custody.

Police said he was "verbally abusive" throughout his arrest and was eventually released on $1,000 cash bail.

On Saturday, police said they were called to LaQuinta Hotel for a report of an "unwanted male subject refusing to pay or leave the premises."

Officers determined the subject was Irish.

He was taken into custody and police were able to find a small amount of marijuana on his person. Police said he was released on $500 cash bail.

In all, Irish was charged with a felony drug possession charge and then misdemeanor charges of marijuana possession, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and criminal trespassing.

I can't believe that the courts just slap a bail and release this guy after they believed he took 80 pills! I don't know this man but just the look in his eyes brought tears to mine because its obvious this guy needs help. The court system could have ordered him to Bridgewater for an evaluation. I hope and pray that if this guys picture is in the paper again that its not in the obituary section for possibly taking more than 80 pills next time. The court system will really have failed again for not sending him for an evaluation. Its really sad because I really don't think this was this mans "Irish-American dream of life in America."
