Salem 7-Eleven Robbed at Gunpoint

Salem's 7-Eleven convenience store on Norman Street was robbed by a gunman Friday night.

Local police are searching for the man who allegedly brandished a gun while robbing the 7-Eleven convenience store on Norman Street late Friday night.

Shortly after 11 p.m., the night clerk at the convenience store reportedly called 911 to report that a white male had just entered the store, shown her a gun and demanded the money out of the cash register.

The man reportedly made off with an undisclosed amount of money and the clerk was uninjured.

Salem police Lt. Stephen Bona said local officers were able to secure video footage from the store's surveillance cameras and were still trying to identify the suspect Sunday night.

Salem Patch will be posting additional information to this story as it is released by police.
