Road Rage Reported at Market Basket

The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police Department's log:

Friday, Jan . 25:

  • At 4:06 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Lafayette Street.
  • At 4:20 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Boston and Federal streets.
  • At 4:26 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on New Derby Street.
  • At 5:03 p.m., police responded to a dispute in a parking lot on Washington Street.
  • At 5:28 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Bridge and Washington streets.
  • At 5:59 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Bridge and Washington streets.
  • At 6:21 p.m., police responded to a report of graffiti in a bathroom on Church Street.
  • At 6:35 p.m., police responded to a reported road rage incident in the parking lot of Market Basket.
  • At 6:52 p.m., police responded to a report of credit card fraud on Loring Avenue.
  • At 8:09 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident outside of CVS.
  • At 8:28 p.m., an employee at the Hess gas station called police to complain about a customer who accidentally pumped $45 worth of gas and only had $20. The man agreed to come back and pay on Saturday morning.
  • At 8:46 p.m., police responded to a report of a series of loud bangs on Bridge Street. Responding officers found that someone set fireworks off on Briggs Street.
  • At 8:59 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Highland Avenue. Nicholas L. Moore, 24, of 2 Surfside Road, Lynn, was arrested for having an outstanding warrant.
  • At 10:17 p.m., police responded to an unwanted party at Village Tavern Restaurant on Essex Street.
  • At 10:42 p.m., police responded to a complaint about loud noise in front of In a Pig's Eye bar.
  • At 11:12 p.m., police responded to a report of a loud band playing at In a Pig's Eye.
  • At 11:20 p.m., police located a man known to have an outstanding warrant at the intersection of Congress and Palmer streets. Jose M. Cepeda, 20, of 145 Summit St., Peabody, was arrested for having an outstanding warrant.
  • At 11:35 p.m., police responded to a report of loud music coming from Life Alive on Essex Street.

  • At 12:33 a.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Holly Street. A woman there agreed to end a party and send her guests home.
  • At 1:01 a.m., police responded to a loud party on Hazel Street.
  • At 1:25 a.m., police responded to a report of a fight in a parking lot on Derby Street.
  • At 4:28 a.m., police responded to a dispute between a landlord and a tenant on Harrison Avenue.
  • At 5:22 a.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Rainbow Terrace.
