Police: Salem Woman Blows Through Sobriety Checkpoint

A Salem woman is facing drunk driving charges after reportedly blowing through a sobriety checkpoint in New Hampshire late Friday night.

A Salem woman who reportedly refused to stop for a sobriety checkpoint in New Hampshire late Friday night is now facing drunken driving charges. 

Jodie M. Tarisa, 37, of Salem was arrested after failing to stop at a checkpoint on the Spaulding Turnpike in Portsmouth when directed to by troopers. 

Tarisa was stopped a short time later and was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and disobeying an officer.

Troopers reportedly made six arrests between 10 p.m. Friday and 2 a.m. Saturday. A total of 408 cars were stopped.
