Police Identify Peabody Man Found Dead in North River Canal

Salem police have identified the Peabody man whose body was found floating in the North River Canal Sunday afternoon.  

The body of John Marrone, 71, of 20 Central St., was found in the canal near the intersection of Bridge and Flint streets, Sgt. Christian Hanson said.

Marrone's death is not being considered suspicious, police said.
