Saturday, Aug. 25
5:16 p.m. — A Salem Street man reported he is being harassed by his neighbor. The man told police his neighbor makes up stories about him and spreads rumors.
5:42 p.m. — A woman reported she lost her purse at .
7:51 p.m. — A Riverway Road caller reported items, including jewelry, were stolen from her house. There was no forced entry to the home.
8:26 p.m. — Police responded to Hancock Street on a call about a fight. Police said two men were engaged in a verbal dispute because one of the men's children picked up spare change in front of the other man's house. An argument started when the man who lives at the house said something to the child about taking his change.
8:51 p.m. — A man was taken into protective custody after he was extremely intoxicated from drinking all day on his boat.
9:14 p.m. — Police responded to Hubon Street on a report of loud music. When the officer arrived, he spoke to a man who said the music from the live band was "out of control." Police said when the officer was at the house "the band started to play, and the level of the music was extremely loud." Police said the officer went to the Black Lobster and spoke to an employee who agreed that the band that was playing "is normally loud, but that's their normal level." Police said the Black Lobster "was advised to lower the music, but had to be told again that it was still too loud." Then, police said, the music was taken to a reasonable level and the employee was told to monitor the level of the music. The caller was told to call back if the music "became too loud to stand again." The case was forwarded to a detective in charge of licensing.
9:43 p.m. — A loud party was reported on Hancock Street.
10:10 p.m. — Police said a suspicious person knocking on windows was reported on Leach Street. Police said there was no issue. A "resident was knocking on her neighbor's door to give her a birthday present."
Sunday, Aug. 26
12:18 a.m. — Police received a call a drunken woman was being chased through the parking lot. Police said the woman as fine. She was not in distress and she was with friends.
1:14 a.m. — A person ringing a doorbell was reported on Central Street.
1:56 a.m. — An intoxicated person was taken into protective custody on Lafayette Street.
2:39 a.m. — Police said a man will be summonsed to court after he assaulted a health care provider at .
2:51 a.m. — A person possibly breaking windows was reported on Harbor Street. was arrested after a brief investigation.
3:34 a.m. — Police responded to a rollover accident at Bridge Street and Pierce Avenue. There were no injuries, and was arrested.
10:52 a.m. — A homeless camp in the woods was reported on Victory Road.
12:31 p.m. — Two undesirables were reported on an Essex Street porch.
1:12 p.m. — A Jefferson Avenue caller reported six orange traffic cones were left in her convertible. Police said "she believes that it was just a prank originating from the football program." Police said no damage was reported and the cones were put in the Yard.
1:56 p.m. — Police said a man reported a man followed him from to the downtown trying to get him to fight over girl.
