Men Arrested for Drinking PBR, Jack D'Or Ale in Public

The following was provided by the Salem Police Department. Where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The responded to the following calls and made the following arrests on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Friday Arrests

Amanda Elwell, 29, of 121 Central St. in Peabody was arrested on a charge of illegal possession of a class A substance. She was also arrested on two warrants.

Jonathan W. Fisher, 30, of 9 Walnut St. in Lakeville was arrested on charges of operating under the influence of drugs and negligent operation.

Erik Constantin Sicard, 34, of 10 Prince St. was arrested on charges of driving with defective equipment and operating after a license suspension.

Saturday, June 1

12:24 a.m. — A burglary in progress was reported on Salem Street.

1 a.m. — Two people were arrested after police said they were seen in public drinking a Pabst Blue Ribbon and Jack D'Or Ale at Salem and Palmer streets.

2:25 a.m. — Police responded to a disturbance in the street on Hathorne Street. Police said a woman drove down the street and beeped a horn to get her friend's attention. Police said a neighbor came out and confronted the woman for beeping the horn. The responding officer said there were just words exchanged and no physical contact.

7:11 a.m. — A past larceny was reported on Lyme Street.

9:21 a.m. — Police said a man was taken into protective custody after he was found passed out on the sidewalk in the the pouring rain in front of

11:01 a.m. — Destruction to a motor vehicle was reported on Flint Street.

11:59 a.m. —  A lost ring was reported on Goodhue Street.

2:56 p.m. — A man pasted out on the bathroom floor at 370 Essex St. (the ) was reported. Police said the man was highly intoxicated and placed into protective custody.

6 p.m. – Police said a woman acting strangely was reported at Planet Fitness. Police were informed the woman kept coming into the store acting up, and she was asked to leave. Police were not able to locate the woman.

6:17 p.m. — Police received a call about a fight in the dining room. When they arrived, police informed them they had a verbal dispute, but there was no longer a problem.

6:46 p.m. — Police were called again about a woman bothering people at Planet Fitness, and she was advised not to return.

9:56 p.m. — A possible flooded roadway was reported at Forrester and Emerton streets. Police said there was nothing out of the ordinary, just normal flooding issues.

Saturday Arrests


Richard M. Adrien, 59, of 116 Lafayette St. was arrested on a warrant.

Michael Buckley, 22, of 20 Palmer St. was arrested on a charge of violating the city's public drinking ordinance.

Jose M. Martinez, 17, of 501 Washington St. in Lynn was arrested on charges of operating a vehicle without being licensee, two charges of red light or stop sign violations, failure to stop for police and negligent operation.

Edward P. McCusker Jr., 29, of 233 Lafayette St. was arrested on a charge of breaking and entering at night with intent to commit a crime.

David A. Stringi, 25, of 76 Alden Ave. in Revere was arrested on a charge of violating the city's public drinking ordinance.

Robert Uzdavinis III, 30, of 14 Lathrop St. was arrested on three warrants.

Sunday, June 3

12:48 a.m. — A sinkhole was reported on Becket Street.

1:12 a.m. — A person on a front stoop pulling a door was reported on Bridge Street. Police said the person was highly intoxicated and placed into protective custody.

1:16 a.m. — Police responded to on Washington Street on a report a group was trying to start a fight. Police said a person was found to be highly intoxicated and he was placed into protective custody.

5:02 a.m. — A loud explosion and a power outage was reported on Cedarcrest Avenue. National Grid was notified.

9:56 a.m. — Police received a call the road was caving in on Becket Street.

10:59 a.m. — Police received a call a employee accidentally cracked a customer's windshield while loading a couch.

12:25 p.m. — Police responded to Andover Street to retrieve a gun found in a home. Police said the gun was antique and in non-working condition — it was rusted to the point where no name brand or numbers were visible, police said.

3:29 p.m. — Police responded to at 200 Essex St. on a call someone was shoplifting.

Sunday Arrests

Joel Ayala, 27, of 2 Munroe Ct. in Peabody was arrested on charge of giving a false name to an officer, operating after a license suspension, operating negligently and failing to obey traffic laws.

Amanda Elizabeth Doherty, 19, of 24 Winthrop St. was arrested on a shoplifting charge.

Robert Lee Kendrick, 49, of 12 Porter St. as arrested on a warrant.
