MBTA Announces Salem Man Charged With Lewd Act on Train

A Salem man is being charged with open and gross lewdness.

The MBTA Transit Police announced this morning that a Salem man has been arrested in connection with an incident on a commuter line Sunday. 

Adam Morrissey, 19, of Salem was arrested on a charge of open and gross lewdness.

According to Transit Police, Morrissey boarded a Boston-bound train Saturday at either the Gloucester or West Gloucester stations then disembarked at either the Beverly or Swampscott stations. He is accused of masturbating around 8:10 p.m. during the trip.

Morrissey is expected to be arraigned today in Salem District Court.
