Man Arrested for Public Urination

Wednesday, Aug. 8

4:49 p.m. — Trash dumping was reported on Grove Street. Police said the caller said he found the mail of a nearby resident in the trash.

5 p.m. — Kids breaking windows were reported on Lafayette Street. Police said the kids were baseball players, there was not damage and they were sent on their way. 

5:03 p.m. — A woman said she was being harassed by her landlord's son after she called the Board of Health.

5:37 p.m. — Loud construction was reported at Amanda Way and Osborne Hill Drive. 

7:35 p.m. — Police arrested  at Congress and Peabody streets on multiple charges after a foot chase. 

9:34 p.m. — A verbal fight was reported on Bridge Street.  

10:56 p.m. — Police said a group of people fighting was reported on Hathorne Street.  

11:14 p.m. — Two people pushing a moped were reported at Loring Avenue and Chandler Road, but police were not able to find the people.

11:17 p.m. — Police said a man reported a vehicle with an unknown number of occupants pulled up next to his vehicle on Lafayette Street and someone smashed his driver's side window. Then, the man said, the vehicle drove toward Marblehead.  Police said the vehicle came back to someone out of Swampscott.  

Thursday, Aug. 9

12:09 a.m. — Police received a call a vehicle struck a curb on Derby Street, but they were not able to locate the vehicle.

12:25 a.m. — A loud noise was reported on Tremont Street.

1 a.m. — A stolen moped was reported on Loring Avenue. 

2:51 a.m. — Police received a call a staff member at was assaulted. Police said was arrested.

3 a.m. — Police woke up a man sleeping in the middle of a lot on Bridge Street. Police said he was intoxicated, and he was taken into protective custody.

7:40 a.m. — A driveway blocked by an excavator was reported on Highland Avenue. 

7:47 a.m. — Police said a cruiser backed into a mailbox on Wyman Road. 

10:09 a.m. — A stolen bicycle was reported on Washington Street.

11:38 a.m. — Police received a call a man was urinating near the park on Lafayette Street. Police said they spoke with a woman who said a man was "urinating on the sidewalk across from ." Police said was arrested. 

12 p.m. — Smoke in a Colonial Road building was reported. Police said the responded and determined a fluorescent bulb had blown from being too hot. There was not a fire, police said. 

12:35 p.m. — Police responded to Essex Street on a call the Google Maps vehicle took wires down. 

12:44 a.m. — A dispute between neighbors was reported on Geneva Street. 

1:57 p.m. — A combative patient was reported at North Shore Medical Center.

3:13 p.m. — Police said a man possibly drinking was reported on Wharf Street. Police said a man was found sleeping in a chair and a bag with a 40-ounce bottle of Bud was next to him. Police said the officer woke the man up and asked him what he was doing. The man said he was hired to do work. Police said the man was not drinking when they arrived, and they would speak with the management of to see if they want a no-trespass order issued. 

3:26 p.m. — Police said suspicious activity was reported on Essex Street. Police said a man reported kids have regularly been seen on the roof of the and he requested extra checks of the area.
