Man Allegedly Pushed at Maria's Place

Friday, Sept. 28

5:58 p.m. — A dumped mattress was reported on Bow Street.

6:03 p.m. — Harassing phone calls were reported on Bridge Street.

11:15 p.m. — A loud party was reported on North Street.

11:33 p.m. — Police said a taxi driver on Daniels Street reported a person got out of his taxi and did not pay the fare. The taxi driver said he picked the woman up on Portsmouth, N.H. and brought her in Salem. The woman told the driver she would go inside and get the money, but never returned. Police located the woman in a doorway and Cheryl Callahan was arrested.

Saturday, Sept. 29

12:56 a.m. to 1:10 a.m. — Several incidents relating to Bangkok Paradise were reported.

5:59 a.m. — A man yelling and screaming was reported on Derby Street.

7:43 a.m. — A fight was reported on Boston Street. Police were not able to locate the fight.

8:20 a.m. — Police said a dispute was reported on Boston Street.

9:50 a.m. — A patient becoming combative was reported on Highland Avenue. Police said a security guard reported he was assaulted by a patient at the hospital.

10:39 p.m. — Police said a person banging on a door was reported on Boston Street. Police said a man was knocking on a woman's door "demanding the use of her cart so that he could do grocery shopping." Police said the woman was reluctant to give him the cart, and the man agreed to return it.

11:12 a.m. — Police said a woman reported her husband was pushed while inside Maria's Place. The woman said her husband was paying at the counter when a person came by and pushed him. After her husband paid the bill and left, the woman said she heard the person make a comment about her husband. When the woman left she told her husband she had an argument with the person. The husband went in Maria's and had an argument with the person, then they both left in separate directions. Police said there was no damage at the restaurant.

11:39 a.m. — A person possibly struck was reported on Highland Avenue.

1:05 p.m. — Police said a car was keyed on Northey Street.

3:33 p.m. — A possible past break-in was reported on Marlborough Road.
