How to Help the Victims of Thursday's Fire

The Beverly Franco-American Club is collecting donations for the family displaced by a fire on Pierce Avenue in Salem.

Area residents looking to help the family of four displaced by an accidental fire in Salem Thursday afternoon can contact the Beverly Franco-American Club.

The following message was posted to the club's Facebook page Friday afternoon:

It has come my attention that one of our longtime members had a devastating fire and lost her home. Thankfully, her and her two grandchildren are safe and well.

I am asking our Franco family to please come together to help in anyway you can with donations...monetary, clothing, toys for the children.

I don't know the exact sizes of the children but the boy is around 8 years old and the girl is possibly 4.

When I get more information I will pass it on to you. There will be a donation container at the club for material donations and one at the bar for monetary donations! Thank you!
