Salem Planning Board

On 5/1/14 I attended a planning board meeting for a project in my neighborhood. A member of the board was addressing concerns he had regarding the planting of trees. The developer stated he had been advised by a professional landscape design company on his tree planting plans. The board member stated "you are before this board today". The developer stated the trees would grow to over 60 feet in the next 60 years and the board member stated "yes and we will al be dead by then". As a taxpayer I find that statement to be outrageous especially for a member of the planning board
