How is it that Salem Patch never reports the negative things happening in the Salem Schools? Today's Salem News reports 1/4 of the students have requested transfers out of Bentley. The first plan failed and now Bentley is facing a massive restructuring by a private company. Maybe the parents liked the teachers and don't want new ones? Maybe the failure is a much bigger problem than teachers and students? Maybe it's time to look at the leaders of this City and question their actions? The Teachers Union needs to protect the members today and stop the madness.

I totally agree. There appears to have been "0" transparency during the whole procedure for outsourcing a green ,as in experience, company to take over our public school system. Furthermore, I know personally parents who are trying to transfer their children out of the Bentley School due to the construction of a new dangerous gas power plant directly across the street. The fish stinks from the head down on this one. Our so-called ward councilors who are supposed to be representing the residents, are not doing a good job either.

Actually, the Salem Patch doesn't report on ANYTHING any more! It's just a bunch of lame blogs, the board posts such as this, real estate listings, and the police blotter. There is ZERO reporting at all. Salem Patch should be renamed Salem Crap.

The Patch also seems to have no shortage of stories about pit bull attacks across the US. Not sure why this would be relevant on a daily basis to the citizens of Salem Massachusetts.

The pit bull stories are all posting on personal blogs about Pit pulls.
