OBITUARY: William "Bull" Trombley

Here is the obituary for William "Bull" Trombley, of Salem.

William E. “Bill” Trombley, age 84, of Salem loving husband of the late Juanita P (Melton) Trombley of Salem, died peacefully on Saturday February 1, 2014.

Born and raised in North Adams, MA, the son of the late William N. and Celia (Kearns) Trombley, he attended North Adams Schools and graduated from Drury High School in the class of 1948. 

During his senior year Mr. Trombley joined the Army National Guard and was activated to the Army in 1952 during the Korean Conflict. He was discharged from the National Guard as a 1st Lieutenant in 1963.

He then became employed by the Wonderland Dog Track for many years and had also been employed at Suffolk Downs. In 1972 Mr. Trombley married his late wife and enjoyed 32 years of marriage until her passing in 2004. 

He is survived by three children; Richard Dion and his wife Marcy of Danvers, Jean Dion of Beverly, Jean-Marie Engel of North Adams; six grandchildren, Crystale Wozniak, Robyn Dion, Stacey Jellerson, Joseph Dion, Gretchen Engel and David Engel; and five great grandchildren.
