OBITUARY: Sophie H. (Stukiel) Pszenny, 88, of Salem

Here is the obituary for Sophie H. (Stukiel) Pszenny, 88, of Salem.

Mrs. Sophie H. (Stukiel) Pszenny 88, of Salem, beloved wife of the alte Albin J. Pszenny died January 19th, 2014 at Salem Hosptial surrounded by her family. 

Born in South Boston, she was the daughter of the late Constantine and Antonina (Bankowska) Stukiel. She was raised and educated in South Boston and was a graduate of South Boston High School. 

Mrs. Pszenny had been employed as a Union Seamstress with the I.L.G.W.U of Boston for over 30 years. Following her retirement she had been employed as a cook at the former Jordan Marsh Restaurant in Peabody. 

A long time resident of the City of Salem, Sophie was a loving mother, sister and aunt who was devoted to raising her family and making sure they were provided with a good education. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed. 

Sophie is survived by her daughters Marcia S. Pszenny of Salem, Roberta Pszenny of Chicago, Il, her son, Albin J. Pszenny II of Salem, her sister Lillian DePeron of Belmont and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister and sister-in-law of the late Jenny Smith and her husband Tom, Laura Romanowski and her husband John, Blanche Newby and her brother Stanley Stukiel.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral will be held from The O'Donnell Funeral Home 46 Washington Sq., (At Salem Common) Salem, Thursday at 9:15 A.M. followed by her funeral Mass in St. John the Baptist Polish Church, St. Peter St., Salem at 10 A.M.
