The obituary for Joseph W. Porazinski, 63, of Salem.

Joseph W. Porazinski, 63, husband of Jean (MacQueen) Porazinski, of Salem, passed away Saturday morning, May 31, 2014 at his residence with family by his side.

Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Walter Porazinski and Bronislawa “Blanche (Olak) Chalupa. He was a resident of Salem for most of his life.

Joseph was employed for over 20 years by Bodycote International in Ipswich until his recent illness earlier this year.

Joe loved gardening, fishing, and most of all picture taking. On every trip he had a camera with him. He loved to go on cruises and was a very good cook.

Besides is wife, with whom he shared 22 years of marriage, he is survived by two sons, Joseph and his wife Lori Porazinski of Haverhill, Mark Porazinski of Boston, two step-sons and their spouses, Thomas and Michele Welch of Naples, FL, Robert and Christine Welch of Gloucester, 6 grandchildren, Joseph, Kyle and Samantha Porazinski, Ryan, Brittany and Cody Welch, his twin sister, Anna Schultz of Middletown, CT, his brother and sister-in-law, John and Kim Porazinski of Newton, NH and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a step-son, Kenneth Welch and his step-father, Alexander Chalupa.

A Visitation will be held Friday, June 6, 2014 from 4 to 7 pm at the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Cemetery services are private.
