Salem's Annual Christmas Tree Burning Next Week

Salem's 11th Annual Christmas Tree Bonfire will take place Sunday, Jan. 5.


Salem's 11th Annual Christmas Tree Bonfire will take place Sunday, Jan. 5 at Dead Horse Beach. 

The pile is set to go up in flames at 6 p.m.

If the weather doesn't cooperate, the rain date will be Monday, Jan. 6. Check the city's website for rescheduling information.

There will be free hot chocolate and music. 

Add Your Tree to the Pile

If you want to contribute a tree to the burning, you can bring it down with you that evening, drop it off at the beach after Jan. 2 or leave it out for curbside pickup Jan. 2 and Jan. 3. 


Christmas tree curbside collection will take place as scheduled between Jan. 6 and Jan. 17. 

The annual tree burning is sponsored by the city of Salem, Salem Park, Recreation & Community Services Department and The Gathering
