What's Going On in These Old Pictures?

Anyone out there know what's going on in these old Salem photographs?

Earlier today I posted these vintage photos of the Salem Willows because I figured people would enjoy them and I knew exactly where they were taken.

The photos above are a bit of a mystery.

Anyone out there know anything about the festive parade these photos were taken at?

The photographs are all labeled "Salem, 1926" and are courtesy of Rosemarie Byer's mother's treasure-trove of historic local items.

It looks like many of the people on one of the floats are dressed as Native Americans, but that's about as far as I got.
