Salem Runner Will Appear on CBS' 'Courage In Sports' Sunday

Salem's John Young will appear on 'Courage in Sports' on CBS Sunday evening.

Salem resident John Young will appear on CBS' Courage in Sports Sunday evening to discuss his experience at the 2013 Boston Marathon and his effort to complete the race in the months following the bombings.

Young, who teaches math at Pingree School in South Hamilton, hasn't let the fact that he was born with a congenital condition called achondroplasia keep him from being far more active than your average Witch City resident.

His segment of the program was filmed in September, he said, and includes an interview at his home as well as at a marathon memorial site in Boston.
