The Year of Magical Thinking - 3 Performances

The Salem Theatre Company is
proud to present a three-performance run of Joan Didion’s acclaimed theatrical
adaptation of her novel, The Year of
Magical Thinking
.  The production,
directed by Christine Elizabeth Fogarty and featuring Anne Kraft, will run
November 7, 8 & 9 in the STC Theater, 90 Lafayette Street in downtown
Salem.

The production is sponsored by
Structures North Consulting Engineers, Inc. of 60 Washington Street in Salem.

In this adaptation of her award-winning, bestselling
memoir (which The
New York Times called
"an indelible portrait of loss and grief...a haunting portrait of a
four-decade-long marriage), Joan Didion transforms the story of the sudden and
unexpected loss of her husband and their only daughter into a stunning and
powerful one-woman play. The play begins, "This happened on December 30,
2003. That may seem a while ago but it won't when it happens to you...and it
will happen to you."
