Community Corner

North Shore UNITY Festival

The NORTH SHORE UNITY Music & Arts FESTIVAL is an all-day community event held on Saturday, July 26th at Salem Willows Park in Salem, MA! The show runs from 12:30 PM- 8:30 PM, and it's a benefit event to support our local homeless shelter in Salem, Lifebridge Salem.

Thanks to the icredible generosity of all of our artists and performers the show will be FREE, and suitable for all ages! All we ask is that you bring a small donation for the homeless shelter.

PLEASE BRING ALL OF YOUR OLD/USED CLOTHING (that you would otherwise donate to Goodwill), and/or ANY CANNED GOODS, OR FOOD ITEMS (non-perishables)... AND THEN JUST BRING THEM TO THE WILLOWS WITH YOU, ON THE DAY OF THE CONCERT! We've arranged to have a Lifebrige box truck there, on-site, to load up all of your donations.

The day will consist of various performances including: live music by many local musicians, bands, and artists; poetry and spoken-word showcased by some of the areas most promising writers; and even live, impromptu painting.

PERORMING BANDS & ARTISTS INCLUDE:
THE DEJAS, MACHINE 475, PETER & CHARLES, BLUE OF A KIND, THE ANDREW "HACKSAW" HARNEY BAND, THE ROSE PROJECT, THE MERJDIANA RESCINITI, DAVID GERARD, REAL FLO', WOLF. MOLLY PINTO MADIGAN, DELVIS, COLLEN CONNERY, JEFF SAVLON & BRIAN DONNELLY, DEREK JOHN BERGMAN, CARMELO RIZZO, PETER MERCIER

The ideal goal for this event is for all of us to enjoy a beautiful summer day of togetherness, and peace - dedicated to positive, artistic expression - and aimed to promote unity, understanding and striving to find the good in one another, and brotherly LOVE and respect for ALL human beings.... while at the same time being as charitable as possible with our hearts, our talents, and with our resources. We have the amazing opportunity to seriously help some people that are in dire need.
The giving, and sharing with others - who might not have the means to aquire those gifts themselves - is what it's all about.
