Max Sullivan duo @ Finz Seafood & Grill

MAX SULLIVAN GROUP | MAX SULLIVAN – rock | blues| roots| alternative - www.maxsullivan.com - Find him on Facebook too!
Max Sullivan is one of the areas up and coming young performers. While he is known as a great blues guitarist, he plays all styles of music: classical, gospel, funk, roots, punk, and classic rock. He writes and performs his own material in addition to performing covers. His set list is eclectic; you'll hear anything from Buddy Guy to the Ramones. This young blues man knows his roots, but he is as influenced by the Pixies as by John Lee Hooker. His original songs are clearly blues infused but have crossover appeal. Max is currently performing around southern NH, MA, and NY: solo, and with his trio, the Max Sullivan Group. He also performs with the International House of Blues Foundation band, at the Boston House of Blues.
PRESS|REVIEWS:
• “He is, perhaps, stage-wise beyond his years, able to make decisions on which songs will please the type of audience that night, while still keeping it enjoyable for him onstage.” -Scott Yates, Portsmouth Herald• "NH native Max Sullivan opened the competition with his blues-based indie/rock sound that pushed the boundaries of a solo acoustic blues act. “I Would Have Never Gone” was the song that really caught my ear and you could hear the Stones/Hooker/Wolf/ Waters influences in his music, with a touch of Jack White thrown in." - A.J. Wachtel, Review of Boston Blues Challenge Finals on Oct 17 2010• "Max has 'it', a talent; a gift" …"Seeing people like Max mean this music will be played for a long, long time." - Parker Wheeler, 20 yr host of Sunday Blues Party @ Grog, Newburyport, MA• “Max Sullivan is “an amazing guitar player with an incredible feel. I’ve seen a lot of guitarists and I’m pretty sure he’s a prodigy." - Pam Ward, Program Director, International House of Blues Foundation• "Max Sullivan is a young man with the skills of a seasoned veteran. He has good presence and can play incredibly." ~Tanya Kays, Booker for Guitar Con
