Firecracker Bye Bye - Three Performances

Salem Theatre Company gets the New Year going with a tribute to yarn, lasagna and sweet misunderstandings as they present Seth Lepore’s Firecracker Bye Bye for three performances on January 2, 3 & 4 at 7:30 p.m. in the STC Theater, 90 Lafayette Street in Salem.

The production is sponsored by Structures North Consulting Engineers of Salem, MA.

Meet the Lepore family: Frank the debonair dad, Camille the kooky aunt, and Nonie the sassy and endearing matriarch who holds the family together.  Lepore playfully prods the Italian-American obsessions of food, homemade sweaters and unfiltered discourses that border on the absurd. At once an embarrassing expose, twisted tribute and lamenting love letter, Firecracker Bye Bye is a comedic celebration of life among the inevitability of loss. From food experiments gone wrong to crocheted eyesores, Lepore embodies his family’s offbeat charm with grace and punch, leaving the audience both jealous and relieved that they aren't his relatives.
