Fall Lecture Series: Climate Change in New England

"Climate Change in New England", a free lecture series offered by the National Park Service in partnership with Salem Sound Coastwatch. There is no doubt that climate change is a complex subject and is challenging us in ways we've never seen before. Based on what scientists understand, the changes we are seeing today are far more rapid than anything that has occurred in our planet's history. Join us for "Climate Change in New England" - a 5-part lecture series - to learn from experts how climate change is affecting our New England region, what is being done about it, and how you can help.

Speakers and Presenters include:

  • Dr. Cameron Wake, Research Associate Professor, Climatology and Glaciology at the University of New Hampshire
  • Barbara Warren, Salem Sound Coastwatch
  • Jonathan Parker, Chief of Interpretation & Education, National Park Service
  • Fara Courtney, director of U.S. Offshore Wind Collaborative
  • Dr. Paul Kirshen, Research Professor, Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at University of New Hampshire
  • New England Aquarium
Where: The National Park Service Regional Visitor Center, 2 New Liberty Street, Salem MA 01970
