HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

1) You must be a full or part-time, officially matriculated student of Salem State, Endicott, Gordon, Montserrat or North Shore Community College.

2) You must be at least 18 years of age.

3) You can submit a video as an individual or as a team (as long as all members are matriculated students of the institutions listed above)

4) You have a BIG Idea for a Business (product or service), Non-Profit or Social Cause.

5) Create a 60 second (or less) video about your idea.

6) You must complete the Entry Form and check-off that you have read and agreed to the personal image and voice release agreement, and the terms and conditions.

7) Upload your video to YouTube.

HOW THE CONTEST WORKS:

Six finalists will be selected and there are two components involved in choosing the six finalists.

First, is online voting from the public where you actively reach out to your family, friends and social networks encouraging them all to vote for your video.

The top two videos with the highest number of votes will move on to the finals. 

Second, a panel of judges will review all the videos and the top four ranking videos will move on to the finals.

**If you make it as a top 6 finalist, you MUST pitch your presentation live in front of panel of judges in order to be eligible for the prizes.

TIMELINE:

Video Submission Start Date:  Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 12:00 a.m. EST

Video Submission Deadline: Thursday, March 27th 2014 at 5:00 p.m. EST

Voting Starts: Monday March 31, 2014 at 12:00 a.m. EST

Voting Ends: Thursday April 10, 2014 at 11:59 p.m. EST

Finalists Announced: Friday, April 11, 2014 no later than 5:00 p.m.

Judges Presentation/Finale: Thursday, April 17, 2014 – 3:00pm-6:00pm

Enterprise Center at Salem State University

3:00: p.m. start time for the six finalists;

4:30 – 6:30 p.m. for the public (Held at the Enterprise Center)
