2015 Stephen M. O'Grady Scholarships Being Accepted

The Stephen M. O’Grady Scholarship Foundation is accepting 2015 scholarship applications to be received no later than Friday, April 24, 2015. Eligible recipients are: Salem resident at time of high school graduation, 3 or more years as a player/volunteer for Salem Little League or Babe Ruth League and/or a member of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem, acceptance to or currently attending a college or continuing education facility and not a prior recipient. Scholarships will be awarded at the 16th Annual Steve O’Grady Open on Monday, August 17, 2015.
The Stephen M. O’Grady Foundation was formed in memory of Stephen O’Grady, VP of Salem Little League and Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem Executive Director, who was killed by a drunk driver in September 1999 less than a month after his 30th birthday.
To date the foundation has awarded over $183,000 to local youth causes, including 175 scholarships totaling $141,000.
