VIDEO: Zombies Stop Traffic in Downtown Salem

With Haunted Happenings in full swing, zombies took to the streets for the annual Zombie Walk.

Zombies took over downtown Salem Saturday evening, literally stopping traffic and facing off with a man exercising his first amendment rights on a bullhorn in Lappin Park.

After coming through the Common from Collins Cove, zombies went down the Pedestrian Mall and eventually went down Artists' Row, where they dined on brains courtesy of the Lobster Shanty.

The living dead festivities were part of the annual Zombie Walk.

who are these constant annoyances with bullhorns? Are they local? I know they were out at the Gay Parade and were quite awful... Are they the 'church' on Bridge St next to Brake and Clutch?

I believe they are from Pennsylvania - they travel around the country to voice their opinion and I think have a history of suing towns that restrict what they consider to be exercising their freedom of speech.
Jared Robinson October 09, 2012 at 06:23 PM
that explains the awful accent. Do they have a permit for that PA?
Jared Robinson October 09, 2012 at 06:24 PM
PA = Public Address/Bullhorn... not Pennsylvania ;)

In years past they haven't. You can find a video on Youtube of a church group "exercising their first amendment rights" on a past Halloween. I believe he was told to shut down his PA, he should have listened.
