St. Joseph's to Crack Uncovered Time Capsule

The Salem News reported this morning that a time capsule recently retrieved from the former St. Joseph's Church will be opened during a church ceremony.

The photographs and video footage of the ongoing demolition project at Salem's St. Joseph Church have been hard to watch for many local residents.

Though the demolition has been long in the making, the story took an interesting twist Wednesday morning, when this story in the Salem News announced that the Rev. John Sheridan was in possession of a time capsule from the building's cornerstone.

According to the story, Sheridan said he plans on unveiling the contents of the capsule at a church ceremony sometime in the coming weeks.

Salem Patch will make sure to let you know when a date is set.

May God bless all those who have worshiped and praised the Lord in this Church and also also may the lord find forgiveness to all those who have destroyed this house of worship. "and upon this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it" -Matthew16:18
