Man Gets Life for Salem Double-Murder: A Marblehead man accused of stabbing his pregnant girlfriend to death in a Salem apartment in 2009 was found guilty on two counts of first-degree murder Thursday afternoon in Salem Superior Court and was sentenced to serve two consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole.

: Salem voters helped re-elect President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden and contributed substantially to the Democratic victory by Elizabeth Warren to the U.S. Senate from Massachusetts.

STILL STANDING: Tierney Defeats Tisei [VIDEO]: Congressman John Tierney has defeated Republican challenger Richard Tisei in an extremely tight race for Massachusetts 6th District congressional seat.

Scholarship Created in Memory of Teen Killed in Salem Crash: The family of Dillon Renard, the Danvers teen killed in an alleged drunk driving accident in Salem, will host a scholarship fundraiser in his honor at the Beverly Italian Community Center, Friday night. The fundraiser, 'Dream for Dillon' will benefit the teen's scholarship fund, which will be awarded to a 2012 Salem High graduate who receives special education services.

Bangkok Paradise's Liquor License Revoked: The Salem Licensing Board revoked Bangkok Paradise's liquor license at their meeting Thursday night. At Licensing Board meeting last month, Chief of Police Paul Tucker, accompanied by one of his captains and three patrolman, told board members that underage patrons were being served at the Washington Street restaurant and said "my officers feel this situation with Bangkok Paradise is out of control. As Chief I cannot let this stand."
