PHOTO CONTEST: Do You Have Salem's Best Halloween Shot?

From costumes to decorations and shots of downtown, show us what you've got!

When it comes to October in Salem — we all live and breathe Halloween.

We're sure you have your cameras at the ready, and we want to see your Salem shots — whether they're costumes, decorations or scenes of the crowds.

Entering is simple. Starting today (Wednesday, Oct. 3) upload your favorite Halloween photo by clicking the "Upload Photos and Video" button at the top of this article. (It’s super easy – just make sure you are a registered user first). In the caption, tell use what you shot and why it screams "Halloween in Salem" to you. Photo must be uploaded to this gallery to be eligible.

We'll give you enough time to upload your Halloween night photos — until Nov. 1 at 12 p.m.

From Nov. 1 at noon to Nov. 4 at 11:59 p.m. vote for your favorite picture by giving the photo number in the comments. One vote per person please.

The winner will be announced at noon Monday, Nov. 5 

Here's the best part. We’ve added a little incentive. The winning submission will receive a Salem-inspired gift basket including spooktacular items from Pamplemousse, The Trolley Depot, the Salem Wax Museum gift shop and the beehive. And there's more — $50 gift certificates to the Gulu Gulu Cafe and Howling Wolf Taqueria, and a copy of "Hocus Pocus" will also be incuded.
