5 Things You Need to Know Today: Nov. 13

Here are the five things you need to know before you start your day in Salem.

Today is Tuesday, Nov. 13, and here are the five things you need to know:

1. Be prepared for some wet weather today. The National Weather Service is predicting that local residents can expect showers, with a temperature falling to around 48 by 5 p.m. Tonight should be partly cloudy, with a low around 36. (sunrise, 6:32 a.m.; high tide, 9:52 a.m.; low tide, 4:14 p.m.; sunset, 4:22 p.m)

2. An Ipswich man was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, second offense, Sunday night following two car accidents in downtown Salem. Click Here for today's Salem Patch police log.

3. The Salem Housing Authority will meet tonight on Charter Street. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. and will be held at 27 Charter St.
