  1. The Salem Award Foundation is celebrating its 20th year by giving the Salem Award for Human Rights and Social Justice to City Life/Vida Urban of Jamaica Plain at the on May 11 at 7:30 p.m. Salem residents may attend the event for free while supplies last. For information, click here.
  2. Anderson Cooper canceled his appearance due to personal reasons last night. If you paid for a ticket, your refund should be automatic, or, you may contact the box office by calling 978-542-7555.
  3. Congrats to the crew at Destination Salem. We hear Kate Fox was on CTNow Morning News chatting about Salem with our neighbors to the south. Check out Kate's appearance here.

  5. We were sad to hear Richard E. Swiniuch Sr., 71, died last week. We had a great time meeting Rich at the . He had such intriguing stories about Salem. Our thoughts go out to his family.
