5 Things to Do This Weekend

Looking for something fun to do in Salem this weekend?

Here is this week's list of five things to do in Salem. They are listed in no particular order:

Cheer: Salem High Schools' varsity football team will host the Gloucester Fishermen Friday night under the lights at Bertram Field. The game is scheduled to begin at 7p.m., so consider stopping by to cheer them on!

Yard Sale to Benefit the Boys & Girls Club: A yard sale to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem will be held this Saturday on Hawthorne Blvd. from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donations for the yard sale are welcome, but no clothes or shoes. For more information call 978-744-0915.

Take in Some Local Art: The Salem Arts Association will be holding an exhibit and retail gallery on Artists' Row Saturday from 12 to 6 p.m. Click Here for more information.

Grand Tasting: More than 100 quality wines from 15 importers will be available to sample Friday night at the Hawthorne Grand Ballroom with light appetizers and live music. Tickets are $35. Click Here for more information.

Learn About the Beach: Join the Salem Sound Coastwatch for their free and informative workshop 'Beaches 101' Saturday morning at The Community Room at Beverly Cooperative Bank on Lafayette Street. Topics will include: how water gets polluted, how to identify invasive species on the beach and how to identify storm damage.
