This week Kids Club members are getting back into the swing of things and are preparing for the start of Winter Programs. Children from both Witchcraft & Hawthorne Kids Club's will have the opportunity to explore many different educational and fun programs that are to be offered. Just to name a few: Smart Girls, Dance Club, Lego Club, Cooking, Basketball Clinic, Yoga and the design of Model-T cars. Field trips to visit the Peabody Essex Museum have also been scheduled for both sites.
The following teens from the Club volunteered at Lifebridge with Rotarian Bruce Whear from Wire 4 Hire serving dinner this past week: Alberto Madera, Mike Sanchez, Alex Jiminian, John Ynoa. Jorman Almanzar, Zack Sabri, Anthony Leveque
John Reyes was chosen as Decembers Torch of the Month. Congratulations John on being a great member and helpful to the staff and keeping up with all your schoolwork.
The five travel basketball teams from the Club kick off their season in the Northeast Boys & Girls Club Leagues The schedule next week is:
Monday, January 8, Boys 18 and under team at Cambridge
Tuesday, January 9, Girls 14 and under at Nashua , NH
Wednesday, January 10, Boys 15 and Under at West End House in Allston
Tuesday, January 16, Girls 18 and under at Salem, NH
Wednesday, January 17, Boys 12 and under at Lynn
Arts and Education will start programs next week. The programs for the winter semester are:
Monday: Puppet Theater (8&9 year olds) and Witch City Dance (10-12 year olds)
Tuesday: Performance Theater (10-12 year olds)
Wednesday: Torch Club (10-12 year olds)
Thursday: Dance (8-10 year olds)
Art Club: (8-10 year olds)
