Salem Democrats will hold Caucus to Select 2013 Convention Delegates on February 9th at 10am at the Salem Council on Aging

Democrats in Salem will hold a caucus to elect delegates to the Massachusetts Democratic Party’s 2013 Platform Convention on Saturday, February 9 at 10am at the Salem Council on Aging at 5 Broad Street.

All registered Democrats are eligible to participate.

"At our 2013 convention, the delegates selected by Salem Democrats will debate and adopt our party platform for the next four years, catch up and network with other organizers from around the Commonwealth and hear from some exciting future leaders of our party,” said Massachusetts Democratic Party Chair John Walsh.

The 2013 Massachusetts Democratic State Convention will be held on June 1, 2013 at the Tsongas Center at UMASS Lowell.

The Salem Democratic Caucus will elect 31 delegates and 21 alternates to the 2013 Massachusetts Democratic Convention. Delegates will be divided equally between men and women. Those not elected as delegate and/or alternate, who meet qualifications, may apply to be add-on delegates in the following categories: youth, minority, and disabled.
