Salem High School presents....RENT

Salem High School Drama Club students have been busy over the last few months rehearsing the school edition of the famous Broadway musical Rent.

Rent tells the story of a group of young musicians and artists living in New York City during the early 1990s who are struggling to maintain their ideals despite the obstacles presented by addiction, disease, isolation, and poverty in an increasingly disconnected age. The 1996 Tony Award-Winning Best Musical is loosely based on Puccini's opera, and utilizes contemporary rock music in order to tell the story of the starving bohemians. The production will feature over fifty actors, designers and crew members from the high school portraying the roles from this musical by Jonathan Larson.

Performances are on:
Friday, February 1st at 7:30pm
Saturday, February 2nd at 7:30pm

77 Willson Street, Salem
