I've been a commuter for over 20 years now and lived in Salem my entire life. For the past few years since parking rates went up, we couldn't even get the existing lots filled and now we are spending (wasting) MILLIONS of dollars investing in a garage that I cannot imagine is going to have better results. Really wish this $$ was instead invested into our failing school systems and boosting the few schools that are doing well, encourage them that much more. Sad waste of our hard earned dollars. Poor planning but great job blocking the water view.

Pretty unattractive in an historic setting. Facing it with red brick does not make up for its lack of history and aesthetics. Oh Salem, you are losing your charm......and more's the pity.

Still nobody smart enough to put a pedestrian tunnel to get the people off the streets so traffic can flow out of the downtown area??

Late night security for commuters?

Great, now no more view of the historic cove, where Salem merchantmen ships like Friendship were built; just an ugly old mill-looking altar to cars...
