Capt's Waterfront Bar & Grill Getting Touch-Up

Capt's Waterfront Bar & Grill will be closed Monday through Wednesday this month while a restoration project is underway.

Capt's Waterfront Bar & Grill on Wharf Street will be closed Monday through Wednesday this January and February while the restaurant's first-floor bar area is renovated.

In addition to the installation of new plank flooring, Capt's now has eight high-definition flat screen televisions set up around the room, all part of an effort to give the space more of a "sports-bar ambiance", owner Dirk Isbrandtsen said Monday.

"Guests who wish to have a quieter or more romantic dining experience may cozy up our fire place area in Topsides on the second floor," Isbrandtsen said.

The project to install the restaurant's new televisions is just about complete, Isbrandtsen said, and the flooring installation will begin today

"Once that is complete we will be refinishing the table tops and repainting," Isbrandtsen said.
