Every couple of weeks we will get an email from a local resident wondering what's going on over at Amazing Pizza and More on Webb Street.

On Thursday afternoon, while out for a ride around the city, I found myself passing the pizza shop and decided to snap a picture and ask our followers on the Salem Patch Facebook page if they'd heard anything new.

One of the responses came from Amazing Pizza owner Jackie Field - and it sounds like she's getting ready to open soon.

Here's what she said

"Okay everyone- It's Amazing Jackie here - the owner of Amazing Pizza. The guy with the truck is my extremely fussy husband that has turned this little building inside and out. Yes we have taken a very long time. Some of it has been part time and lately more full time. Everything is brand new. No loans were involved and my husband John Swenbeck has been the project manager.

We will be open in a few weeks-HA! We just got two permits-electrical and plumbing signed off. We can assure you the pizza will be amazing and can't wait to serve you. Thank you for your interest and hope to see you all soon-then you can introduce yourself and make fun of us in person!!!!!!!! LOL Love always, Jackie Field."

This proves, once again, that you, our readers, are often our best resource for local information.
